A major theme in the great Gatsby is the Pursuit of what can be the American dream.To began with Gatsby was never part of the establishment,because we learn that he was born in North Dakota into a poor farming family .As we read along we found out that limitations that went with being poor.I think this is how the American Dream Begins.
